Production Notes

The production of this project started in January, 2006. Once was clear the subject and the angle of the story, the first goal was to decide in wich African country will be filmed. The first option was Mozambique, but later Tanzania appeared as a more suitable place.

The NGO Ilula Orphan's Program (IOP) was a great help. They found the Mseya's family, our guide-translator on the ground, Nikanileka Shem Chaula, and they provided hosting for the team. Without the IOP and especially Berit Skaare this film would not exist.
Many thanks - Asante sana

All the donations received on this page will go to the IOP. Please consider to give a donation. The orphans in Ilula will thank.

Our team was very reduced, just the director/cameraman, the sound operator and the translator.

The story of the Mseya family was filmed in four weeks on September, 2006. The edition took from October to January, 2007.
